State Rep. Quentin Williams Children: Did Quentin Williams Have Kids?

State Rep. Quentin Williams who died in the early hours of Thursday Jan. 4, 2023 in a wrong-way crash involving two vehicles didn’t have children at the time he died.

Williams, the Connecticut state lawmaker was one of the two drivers killed in the fiery two-car crash which occured at 12:48 a.m. Thursday on Route 9 in Cromwell.

According to State Police, Williams’ car was traveling in the left lane on the southbound side of Route 9 near exit 18 when a vehicle going north struck his car head on, leading to Williams’ car bursting into flames.

Governor Ned Lamont directed that state flags be at half-staff in Williams’ honor.

The Legislative Office Building closed on Thursday; All committee meetings were also canceled.

In a statement, Governor Ned Lamont eulogized Williams, saying:

“Quentin had an infectiously optimistic personality, and he absolutely loved having the opportunity to represent his lifelong home of Middletown at the State Capitol. Public service was his passion, and he was always advocating on behalf of the people of his hometown.”

Williams was the first African American to represent the City of Middletown in the Connecticut General Assembly.

Prior to that, he served as city treasurer in 2011 and was re-elected in 2015.

He was also part of the planning and zoning commission in 2007, and in 2009, he was unanimously elected chair of the commission.

Williams is survived by his wife Carrissa and his mother.
