Who Is Mateusz Klich?

Mateusz Klich is a football midfielder for Leeds United, who has just been transferred to D.C. United.

Born on June 13, 1990, in Tamow, Poland, Klich began his career with Tarnovia Tarnównon 1999 and went on to play for Cracovia, VfL Wolfsburg II, PEC Zwolle, FC Kaiserslautern, FC Twente, FC Utrecht, Leeds United, and the Poland national football team.

In 2017, Klich was signed in by Leeds United for three years.

In 2019, Leeds United signed him into a fresh four-and-a-half-year contract, after he played 50 games, scoring 10 goals and 9 assists during the 2018/2019 season.

Klich played as starter for Poland during the 2018 UEFA Nations League. During a match against Ireland, he scored his second national team goal.

Klich joined Poland’s UEFA Euro 2020 squad, also as a starter and also played for his country at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
