Cathee Dahmen was the ex-wife of Leonard Whiting a retired English actor who is best known for his role as Romeo in the 1968 film adaptation of Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet.”

Leonard Whiting married Cathee Dahmen in 1971. They had a daughter, Sarah Beth Whiting, in 1972, who died in 2014 from cervical cancer.
Cathee Dahmen was the first Native American supermodel in the 1960s and 1970s. She was discovered by The New York Times illustrator Antonio Lopez, who introduced her to the fashion industry In her late teens.

Dahmen’s peak years were spent with Ford Models, where she was one of the agency’s highest earners in the 1960s.
She graced the covers of Harper’s Bazaar in 1968 and Vogue in 1971. She was also a member of the Youthquake movement.
Cathee Dahmen moved to London after Leonard Whiting, where she continued modelling for Models 1.
The couple divorced in the late 1970s. Cathee Dahmen left modelling and died in 1997 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
