After a few weeks of cryptic Twitter messages and YouTube posts hinting that his tenure in the WWE would soon be coming to an end, Matt Hardy officially got his wish on Friday as he was released by the company.
Matt Hardy is currently in AEW and signed with the company after he left WWE, not re-signing a new contract after the old one expired.
During his career, Hardy has won the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Best Gimmick award two times under two different characters, once in 2002 and again in 2016.
