Meet Lesley Manning, David Gold’s Fiancee Of Over 15 Years

Lesley Manning is currently a widow and the long-time fiancee of the late David Gold, who passed away on 4th January 2023.

Lesley Manning got into the public eye after her relationship with David Gold got into the limelight. The duo met in 1998 through a mutual friend, whilst they were having dinner in a tapas bar.

The late David Gold indicated that there was chemistry between them which built an attraction for them to become lovers. With her personality, Lesley Manning decided to keep her relationship private and off the public space.

They never got married but got engaged in 2007 and lived in their mansion in  Caterham, Surrey. They were together until David Gold’s sudden demise. Lesley Manning is a beauty therapist who owned a small salon in a village called Hurstpierpoint in West Sussex.

He disclosed in an interview that his fiancee made him feel like a teenager again.

David Gold’s words read:

‘Don’t be negative thinking this is “it” for the rest of your life, because things happen. In my case it was Lesley, and the impact was enormous.

‘She has changed my perspective, my aims and my ambitions. I am content, my companies are flourishing, my lovely daughters are happy and prospering in the business, and I have my football club, my flying, and my homes. In a sense, my life is complete.’

The late David Gold was the former Chairman of Birmingham City Football Club and the joint Chairman of West Ham United. He was also the Owner and Chairman of Gold Group International, incorporating Ann Summers.

David Gold married his first wife, Beryl Hunt, from 1957 to 1972 following an infidelity. They divorced after David Gold caught Beryl Hunt cheating with his best friend in a pool. This was the same day he caught his father stealing his shares.
