Jann and Jill are the children of the late couples Janie Gustafson and her husband Cliff Gustafson.

Their mother Janie Gustafson died in December 2012 after a lengthy illness at age 76.
Their father Cliff Gustafson died on January 2, 2023, in Austin, Texas, United States at age 91.
Their parents met in San Antonio. At the time, their mother Janie was an elementary school teacher while their father Cliff was a high school baseball coach.
Janie and Cliff got married on Sept. 19, 1959.

Though their father was a popular coacch, Jann and Chill kept their [ersonal and professional details away from the media and as a result, there is not much information about them.
Their father, the most popular of the Gustafson household played on the Longhorns team that made it to the 1952 College World Series.
He returned as head coach in 1968 and stayed until 1996. He finished with a career record of 1,427-373.
Their father led the Longhorns to national championships in 1975 and 1983, and 22 Southwest Conference championships. His Texas teams also played in the College World Series 17 times.
Prior to taking the jo at Texas, Gustafson won six Texas state high school championships.
