Jeremiah Green Obituary

Jeremiah Martin Green was a musician from the United States. Jeremiah Green died just days after his cancer diagnosis was made public, on December31 2022, according to statements from his mother and bandmates.

Jeremiah Green was born in Oahu, Hawaii, on March 4, 1977, while his father was stationed there in the Army.

He grew up in Moxee, Washington, not far from Yakima. In 1989, his family relocated to the Seattle area.

Green began touring and recording while still in high school. Green was a member of the bands Satisfact on K Records, Red Stars Theory on Touch and Go Records, and Peeved on Distressed Records in the mid-1990s.

Green has also performed with the Vells and the Psychic Emperor bands. Both bands performed at various venues throughout Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.

From 1993 to March 2003, and again from May 2004 until his death in December 2022, he was a founding member and drummer of the indie rock band Modest Mouse.
