Is Fredrik Forsberg related to Peter Forsberg?

Fredrik Forsberg is of no relation to former NHL star Peter Forsberg. Fredrik is the younger brother of Filip Forsberg.

Fredrik Forsberg’s brother Filip now plays for the Nashville Predators. Peter Forsberg holds a scoring record of 31 points in seven games at the World Junior Championships, a feat that some believe may never be broken.

Peter Forsberg consistently performed well and ended his career with a career rating of +238. In 2017, Peter Forsberg was named one of the ‘100 Greatest NHL Players of all time.

Despite his career being cut short due to injuries, he remains in the top ten for career points-per-game and fifth all-time in career assists-per-game in the NHL.

Peter Forsberg played professionally for 19 years, 13 of which were spent in the National Hockey League (NHL), where he won two Stanley Cups with the Colorado Avalanche and received several individual awards, including the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2003.

Throughout his career, Peter Forsberg won four gold medals with Sweden at the 1992 and 1998 World Championships and the 1994 and 2006 Winter Olympics.
