Kane Brown decided to try out for the program after he watched American Idol open up doors for his childhood friend and former classmate, Lauren Alaina.

Kane Brown was included in 2021’s Time 100, Time’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Kane Brown released his first EP, titled Closer, in June 2015, and followed it with a new single, “Used to Love You Sober”, in October 2015.

Kane Brown released his first full-length album, the self-titled Kane Brown, on December 2, 2016. Kane Brown opened for Florida Georgia Line on their summer 2016 Dig Your Roots Tour.

Kane Brown teamed up with Chandler Stephens to create “Can’t Stop Love”, which was released on February 12, 2016.

In September 2020, Brown announced a drive-in concert, held at more than 200 theatres across the U.S. on September 26, 2020.
