Rosemari dos Reis Cholbi is the former wife of Pele. They got married in 1966 and they were married for 16 years.

The couple divorced in 1982 after having three children together. Their first daughter, Kelly Cristina married Dr Arthur DeLuca. Then they had a son Edson and another daughter, Jennifer.

In May 2014, Edinho was jailed for 33 years for laundering money from drug trafficking. On appeal, the sentence was reduced to 12 years and 12 months.

In April 1994, Pele married psychologist and gospel singer, Assiria Lemos Seixas, who gave birth on September 26, 1996, to twins, Joshua and Celeste through fertility treatments. The couple divorced in 2008.
