Glenda Jackson went on to serve as the Member of Parliament for Hampstead and Kilburn from 1992 to 2010 and also served as the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport from May 1997 to July 1999.
Glenda Jackson returned to her acting career in 2015 when she appeared in a number of stage plays.
