Anrich Nortje joined the Delhi Capitals in August 2020 as a replacement player for the 2020 Indian Premier League.
During a match in October 2020, Anrich Nortje bowled the fastest delivery ever recorded in the IPL, at a speed of 156.22 km/h (97 mph), to Jos Buttler of the Rajasthan Royals.
Anrich Nortje was selected for Eastern Province’s team for the 2021-2022 cricket season in South Africa. Anrich Nortje made his T20I debut for South Africa against India on September 18, 2019.

In July 2020, Anrich Nortje was selected for the St Lucia Zouks in the Caribbean Premier League but was unable to participate due to travel issues.
