During a match in October 2020, Anrich Nortje bowled the fastest delivery ever recorded in the IPL, at a speed of 156.22 km/h (97 mph), to Jos Buttler of the Rajasthan Royals.
In July 2020, Anrich Nortje was named the newcomer of the year at Cricket South Africa’s annual awards ceremony. Nortje was part of the Cape Town Blitz team for the 2019 Mzansi Super League tournament.

Anrich Nortje joined the Delhi Capitals in August 2020 as a replacement player for the 2020 Indian Premier League. Nortje was selected for Eastern Province’s team for the 2021-2022 cricket season in South Africa.
