Eastbay Closing: Is Eastbay Shoes Closing?

Eastbay is reportedly scheduled to shut down permanently in early 2023, resulting in 210 layoffs in Wausau.

According to Dave Eckmann, the President & CEO of the Wausau Chamber of Commerce: “The business leadership has to make strategic decisions as to where the global economy is, where the labor market is, what the cost of doing business is, transportation or anything that comes with a distribution center.”

Earlier this year, Foot Locker sold a part of Eastbay’s sales team to a different company. Eastbay is an American company that specializes in sports footwear, apparel, and equipment.

Eastbay was founded in 1980 and is headquartered in Wisconsin. Eastbay sells a wide variety of shoes from various brands, including Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, and New Balance, among others.

Eastbay is known for its high-quality products and excellent customer service. In addition to its retail business, Eastbay also has a team sales division that serves the needs of high school, college, and professional sports teams.
