Edie Landau, a producer who oversaw original programming like “The David Susskind Show” and the anthology series “The Play of the Week” passed away on December 24, 2022, at the age of 95.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, she died “peacefully” of natural causes on December 24 at her Century City home.

Her son, Jon Landau, took to Instagram Tuesday, December 27 2022, to pay tribute to his mother, saying, “Edie, thank you for all you taught me, thank you for the life example you always were, and thank you for all the love you bestowed on me. You will be in our hearts forever.”

Edie Landau has always been a trailblazer for women in the industry. She began her career in New York City at National Telefilm Associates after graduating from Wilkes College. Ely Landau, whom she later married, founded the company. Edie Landau, eventually rose to the position of executive vice president of the company.

Landau also started Nannies Unlimited Agency, an exclusive Beverly Hills placement service with clients that included numerous celebrities from the entertainment industry, in 1989.

Smiles for Seniors: And Anyone Else Who Can Poke Fun at Themselves, her first collection of poems, was published in 2014.
