Stephen Greif was a well-known British actor. Stephen Greif died at the age of 78, on 26 December 2022, according to his representatives. No cause of death has been given.

Stephen Greif was born in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, England, in a building gifted to Anne Boleyn by King Henry VIII.

He attended Sloane Grammar School, where he was a school champion in athletics and swimming, and where he represented the school and county in athletics at the White City Stadium, among other venues.

Stephen Greif graduated with honours from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where he was an Associate Member and served on the audition panel, and where he won numerous awards, including Best Actor and Most Promising Actor.

He was best known for his roles in Blake’s 7, Citizen Smith three series, Signor Donato in Casanova, and Commander John Shepherd in Shoot on Sight.

Stephen Greif had voiced and been nominated for best narrator for Sony’s PlayStation Video game Puppeteer, among many other games and projects.
