Canadian ice hockey forward and coach, Don McKenny has died. He died on December 19, 2022, at the age of 88.

The cause of his death is unknown.

Don McKenny played in the National Hockey League between 1954 and 1986 with five teams, mostly with the Boston Bruins. After retiring, he worked as a coach for Northeastern University for 20 years.

In 1970, McKenny joined longtime Bruins teammate, Fern Flaman in the coaching staff of the Northeastern University Huskies men’s hockey team. He served nearly two decades as an assistant coach and head recruiter.
He concluded his active life in hockey as a part-time scout for the NHL Colorado Avalanche.
