There are various reasons why Kojima fell out with Konami, but one of the main factors was reportedly a disagreement over the direction and creative control of the Metal Gear series. Kojima had a strong vision for the games and wanted to have a large degree of creative control, but Konami reportedly wanted to exert more control over the series and its development.
This disagreement led to a strained relationship between Kojima and Konami, and Kojima eventually left the company in 2015. Since then, Kojima has formed his own independent studio, Kojima Productions, and has worked on a number of other projects, including Death Stranding.
It is currently unclear if Kojima will return to Konami or work on any future Metal Gear games. The relationship between the two parties is not known, and it is up to Konami and Kojima to decide if they want to work together again in the future.
