How long has Ledisi been singing?

Ledisi has been singing for 27 years now. She has been active in the music industry since 1995.

To date, Ledisi has earned a total of fourteen Grammy Award nominations, winning her first award for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Anything For You” in 2021.

Ledisi’s fifth album, Pieces of Me, received three Grammy Award nominations and became her first top-ten album, reaching number eight on the US Billboard 200 album chart.

In 2013, Ledisi was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance for her collaboration with Robert Glasper on the album cut “Gonna Be Alright.”

In 2014, Ledisi released her sixth album, The Truth. Ledisi has also released the albums Let Love Rule (2017), The Wild Card (2020), and Ledisi Sings Nina (2021), which have all received various levels of chart success and multiple Grammy Award nominations.

Ledisi first appeared on television in 2010 on BET’s Blackgirls Rock. Ledisi has also written two books, Better Than Alright and Don’t Ever Lose Your Walk.
