Sydney Carter is a retired professional basketball player, who played as a guard for Chicago Sky.

Born on November 18, 1990, in Dallas, Texas, Carter attended DeSoto high school in DeSoto, Texas, where she played basketball.

She also recorded a successful collegiate career playing at Texas A&M University from 2008 to 2012.

While in college, she had the likes of Sydney Colson and Danielle Adams, who later played for the San Antonio stars, as team mates.

Carter had assisted the Aggies win the NCAA title during her junior season.

In 2012, Carter was selected by the Chicago Sky as 27th overall pick in the 3rd round of the WNBA draft.

After spending three years with the Chicago Sky, Carter played at professional level for the Connecticut Sun, Indiana Fever, and Atlanta Dream.
