CNN senior investigative correspondent, Drew Griffin has died. He died after a long battle with cancer. This is according to a statement by his family.

He died at the age of 60.

Drew Griffin was known for his work at the American cable news channel, CNN. He was an investigative reporter for CBS 2 News in Los Angeles for 10 years. He joined CNN in May 2004.

In September 2005, Griffin covered the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He reports that the looting by some New Orleans police officers led to a police investigation.
He also broke stories about nursing home deaths after Katrina. Griffin and CNN won a Peabody award for their Hurricane Katrina coverage.
