Edie Brickell: Meet Paul Simon’s Third Wife

Edie Brickell is the current and third wife of Paul Simon.

Brickell and Simon first met on NBC’s Saturday Night Live on November 5, 1988, when she was performing “What I Am”.

According to Brickell, she noticed Simon standing in front of the cameraman watching her “Even though I’d performed the song hundreds of times in clubs, he made me forget how the song went when I looked at him. We can show the kids the tape and say, ‘Look, that’s when we first laid eyes on each other.’”

The pair made their relationship legal on May 30, 1992. Through their marriage, the couple has been blessed with three wonderful children; Adrian, Lulu, and Gabriel.
