“I want to keep experiencing a few more matches as world champion. I was lucky to clinch every title in my career, this was the one missing. I want to take this one there (to Argentina) and enjoy it with everyone else,” he said.
Messi was awarded the player of the tournament at the just ended Qatar 2022 World Cup. He has now won his first career world cup, making him the third Argentine captain to do so, years after Diego Maradona.
