Sarah Shahi is an American actress and former professional NFL cheerleader. Sarah and her ex-husband Steve Howey share three children Violet Moon Howey, Knox Blue Howey and William Wolf Howey.

They welcomed their first child, a son, in July 2009. Shahi had a water birth at home. Shahi gave birth to their twins, a daughter and a son, at home again in March 2015.

Sara Shahi stated during her first pregnancy that she prefers home births because she believes in the body’s natural ability to give birth. She went on to say that she wanted to dispel the myth that women don’t know how to give birth and that they always need doctors, epidurals, and Pitocin.
It was a vision she and her ex-husband had after watching the documentary The Business of Being Born that convinced her and her ex-husband to opt for a natural birth.
