Mick Lynch born Micheal Lynch is a British labour activist (trade Unionist). Mick Lynch succeeded Mick Cash as the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers general secretary since May 2021.

Prior to becoming the general secretary of the RMT, Mick Lynch had served as its assistant general secretary and its executive; both for two terms.

Mick Lynch has always had an inspiration by James Connolly, a former Irish trade Union leader during Childhood. Mick Lynch grew up in a slum around the Paddington neighbourhood in London.

At 16, Mick Lynch left High School after being licensed as an electrician and subsequently worked in construction before being unjustly blacklisted for union membership.
Mick Lynch started working for Eurostar in 1993 after being unable to find any more construction jobs. Mick Lynch also became active in the RMT around this time.
Mick Lynch was compensated for the unlawful blacklisting twenty years later. Mick Lynch backed Brexit in 2016 and afterwards defended his choice.
Mick Lynch was supposed to succeed Mick Cash as the general secretary for RMT after leaving office due to a health condition in 2020. However, Mick Lynch declined and accused his colleagues as bullies and harassers which Mick Cash Pioneered during his time in office.
A year later, Mick Lynch won the seat of the general secretary of RMT through elections but this time, permanent.
