Matt Prater is a football placekicker for the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL, who holds the record of the best long distance kickers in NFL history.
Born on August 10, 1984, in Ohio, USA, Prater played college football at UCF, and in 2006, he was signed by the Detroit Lions.

After playing for the Lions, Prater went ahead to play for the Miami Dolphins, the Atlanta Falcons, the Miami Dolphins, the Denver Broncos, and now the Arizona Cardinals.
From 2013-2021, Prater held the NFL record for longest field goal (64 yards), and he still holds the record for the most 50+ yard field goals made in a career.
His current NFL statistics shows a record of 361 field goals made, 434 attempted field goals, 83.2 field goal percentage, 64 longest field goal, 381 touchbacks, and 1 touchdown.
The Arizona Cardinals signed Prater in 2021, to a 2-year contract worth $6.5 million.
