Geoffrey Quinton Michael Doidge previously served as a South African Minister of Public Works from September 5, 2008, to  October 31, 2010.

Doidge was deputy chief whip of the African National Congress (ANC) a social-democratic political party in South Africa.

In January 2001, Geoffrey Quinton Michael Doidge was appointed by the ANC in the place of Andrew Feinstein, as chair of its study group on public accounts and ANC’s official spokesman on the National Assembly’s public accounts committee.

Doidge died on Sunday, December 11, 2022. The cause of his death has not been revealed. He died at age 68.
