Rick Stein Children: Meet Jack Stein, Edward Stein, Charles Stein

Famous restauranteur Rick Stein has three sons – Jack, Edward and Charles.

Jack Stein

Jack was born in Cornwall as the second son of Rick and Jill Stein.

Jack is a lover of hospitality just like his father, having worked as a kitchen porter and waiter from age 16.

He is a graduate of Psychology from Cardiff University, and a has a Masters degree in History.

He began supervising the family business as a Commis Chef at The Seafood Restaurant and later, as a Sous Chef at Rick Stein’s Café.

Additionally, Jack has worked in many restaurants in Paris, Australia, and Japan.

He is known for the food shows Wine, Dine and Stein, Jack Stein: Born to Cook, which is aired on SBS and UKTV food; and Inside the Box.

Jack had also authored a cookbook titled World on a Plate.

Edward Stein

Edward is the first son of Rick and Jill Stein. Edward, also like his father, has profound knowledge of the kitchens, operations, logistics and retail.

He is an artist by profession, having studied Historic Carving at The City and Guilds London.

Edward functions as Project Manager of the family business, supervising the building, refurbishment projects of all the new restaurants.

Edward is also a lover of plants. He owns an orchard and a vegetable garden.

Charles Stein

Charles, the youngest son of the Stein family, and is passionate about the winery business.

Charles has worked with the new-wave London wine merchants, and the The Vintner.

Every bottle in the family business is chosen by Charles, who has appeared on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen.

He has even served as co-host on the show Wine, Dine and Stein, together with his brother Jack.
