Steve Womack is a U.S politician and representative for Arkansas’s 3rd congressional district, a position he has held since 2011.

Born on February 18, 1957, in Russellville, Arkansas, USA, Womack graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1979, with a degree in Communications.

Womack was recruited into the United States Army, where he served as an executive officer for six years and in the following couple of decades he served as commander of the 233rd Regiment, Arkansas Regional Training Institute.

Womack rose to the rank of a Colonel, and after 30 years of military service, he retired from the Arkansas Army National Guard.

Womack was born to  Elisabeth F. Canerday and James Kermit Womack.

His father founded KURM-AM radio station as far back as 1979.

Womack has three children and theee grandchildren.

Womack ventured into politics and served in the House Budget Committee, both as a member and a chairperson.

In 1998, Womack became mayor of Rogers, and held the position for another 12 years.

For his entire service to the nation, Womack has received several honours including the Legion of Merit Awards, a Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
