The Canadian former professional defenceman, Brent Thompson played 121 games in the National Hockey League. Brent played for the Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, and Los Angeles Kings.

Brent Thompson is married to Kimberly Oliver Thompson. He has two sons, Tyce and Tage Thompson who are both athletes. Tage Thompson’s younger brother played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the USHL and was drafted by the New Jersey Devils.
Brent Thompson’s Tage was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the first round (26th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Tage currently plays as a centre for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Tage Thompson made his NHL debut in the Blues’ first game of the 2017–18 season, against the Pittsburgh Penguins, on October 4, 2017.
