Kirstie Alley was an American actress. She was known for her role as Rebecca Howe in the NBC sitcom, Cheers. She made her film debut in 1982 in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Ally earned her second Emmy for the 1994 television film, David’s Mother. For her contributions to the film industry, Alley received a motion pictures star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard in 1995.

In February 2011, Alley announced that she was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. She was partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She also took part in the 15th season of Dancing with the Stars. In 2022, Alley competed in season 7 of The Masked Singer as Baby Mammoth of Team Cuddly.
Alley died on December 5, 2022, following a short battle with cancer at the age of 71. Per the statement released by her children, the cancer had only been recently discovered.
