Sandi Toksvig is a British-Danish writer, actor, comedian, producer, presenter, and political activist with an estimated net worth of $8 million.

Toksvig rose to public prominence after the charity Save the Children dropped her as the compere of its 75th anniversary celebrations after she came out. The Lesbian Avengers staged a direct action protest in response to the decision, and the charity apologized.

From 2006 to 2015, she was the host of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz. From 2012 to 2013, she hosted the Channel 4 television series 1001 Things You Should Know and the game show Fifteen to One.

Sandi Toksvig took over as host of the BBC quiz show QI in 2016 after Stephen Fry left. She co-founded the Women’s Equality Party and was appointed Chancellor of the University of Portsmouth in 2012. Toksvig is the current president of the Women of the Year Lunch.

She has written several books for both children and adults and has received numerous awards. Toksvig has also contributed to the television shows No 73, Motormouth, and The Big One.
