In April 2019, Josh Giddey led VIC Metro to the title at the Australian Under-18 Championships where he averaged 20 points, 8.3 rebounds, and six assists per game.

Josh Giddey became the first ever Australian to record a triple-double in consecutive games on May 1, 2016, in the 36ers’ game against the Brisbane Bullets. He finished with 15 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds in a 101–79 win.

Josh Giddey recorded his first double-double with 18 points and 10 assists in a 123–115 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on 27 October 2021.

Josh Giddey became the second player in NBA history to record a scoreless double-double on 26 December 2021. This was after he compiled ten assists and ten rebounds in the Thunder’s 117–112 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

On 2 January 2022, Josh Giddey became the youngest ever player to record a triple-double, with 17 points, 14 assists, and 13 rebounds in a 95–86 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. He was only 19 years, and 84 days old at the time.
