The couple met on the Trojans while Troy Polamalu was playing with her brother Alex, and they have been married since 2005.
Theodora Holmes was born on March 8, 1983, in San Diego, California, USA, to parents Michael Holmes and Katina Holmes.
Polamalu and his wife, Theodora, founded the Harry Panos Fund to honor Theodora’s grandfather, who served in World War II.

Theodora and her husband organized a football camp in American Samoa. They also added a volleyball program for young women and an educational program to create balance for the foundation.
“We’re attempting to change all of the schools there and update their educational frameworks, giving them the opportunity and the tools for these kids to go away from American Samoa to teach themselves, and then return and provide for that island community,” Troy and Theodora said.
