“Our daughter Xana passed away this afternoon, aged nine, following a five-month battle with osteosarcoma [bone cancer],” Enrique Martínez stated on Twitter.

“We’d want to thank everyone for their kindness over the last few months, and we appreciate the prudence and understanding displayed.” he continued.
Enrique Martínez confirmed Xana’s death, saying their 9 years old daughter had battled osteosarcoma, or bone cancer, for “five tough months.”
After a battle with cancer, the nine-year-old daughter of former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has died.
