Roderick James “Jess” McMahon Sr. was a well-known professional wrestling and boxing promoter. The Manhattan native is recognized as the founder of the Capitol Wrestling Corporation.

Jess McMahon was born on the 29th of October 1882 in Manhattan, New York, United States. Jess met his unfortunate demise when he was 72 years old in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in November 1954.
As a patriarch of the McMahon family, Jess McMahon was the first to promote wrestling at the Freeport Municipal Stadium when he stayed back in Long Island.

Jess McMahon was happily married to Rose E. Davis, a native of New York City in the United States. Jess and Rose were married from 1912 until he passed on in 1954.
