The names of Oh Young Soo’s parents are unknown. According to reports, his mom takes care of the home while his dad worked at some local shop to earn a livelihood.

He has not disclosed the names of his father and mother on any social media handle.

His grandfather was a local educator and landlord. After the 38th parallel line was drawn across Korea, he and his family moved to Paju on the Southern Korean side controlled by the Americans shortly.

During the Korean War that followed shortly, his father was killed and his brother was kidnapped by North Korean forces.
