Charles Koppelman Wife: Who is Gerri Kyhill?

Gerri Kyhill was the wife of Charles Koppelman a musician, music producer, and businessman from the United States. The couple got married on October 29, 2011.

Charles Koppelman passed on Friday, November 25 2022. He was 82. A cause of death was not given at the time. He was the CEO of CAK Entertainment at the time of his death.

He began his career as a singer but quickly rose through the ranks of publishing, working for Don Kirshner’s Aldon Music, Clive Davis at CBS Records.

He collaborated with longtime Sony Music Publishing chief Martin Bandier and they founded  SBK Entertainment, which was sold to EMI in 1988 for $300 million.

The company grew to be one of the largest independent music publishers, influencing the careers of Michael Bolton, Robbie Robertson, New Kids on the Block, Grayson Hugh, Icehouse, and others.

Koppelman worked in the music industry for many years before becoming the chairman of Steve Madden in 2000, leading the company while its founder was imprisoned for securities fraud. Koppelman left Marth Stewart Living Omnimedia in 2005, where he also served as chairman.
