Charles Koppelman was the father of three adult children Jennifer Hutt, Stacy Koppelman Fritz and Brian Koppelman.
Jennifer Hutt, his daughter, is a radio personality who has hosted a number of radio shows, including the popular Sirius Satellite Radio show Just Jenny. Hutt and Alexis Stewart, Martha Stewart’s daughter, co-wrote the book Whateverland in 2011.
Brian Koppelman, his son, is a screenwriter who has worked on films such as Rounders and Ocean’s Thirteen. He is also the co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer of Billions and Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber on Showtime.

Charles Koppelman worked in the music industry for many years before becoming the chairman of Steve Madden in 2000, leading the company while its founder was imprisoned for securities fraud. Koppelman left Marth Stewart Living Omnimedia in 2005, where he also served as chairman.
Charles Koppelman died on Friday, November 25 2022. He was 82. A cause of death was not given at the time. He was the CEO of CAK Entertainment at the time of his death
