Thomas Müller is a German footballer who currently plays for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich as well as the Germany national team.

Müller was born in the Bavarian town of Weilheim in the province of Oberbayern to Klaudia Muller and Gerhard Müller.
He grew up in Pähl, a nearby village that became the focus of media attention during his World Cup exploits.

In 2000, he joined the local ‘Bundesliga’ team ‘Bayern Munich.’ He trained as part of the youth system of the club and has been with the club ever since.

He made his first-team debut in the 2009-10 season, following the appointment of Louis van Gaal as manager; he appeared in almost every game as the club won the league and cup double and advanced to the Champions League final.
Müller scored 23 goals for Bayern Munich in the 2012-13 season, as the club won a historic treble of league, cup, and Champions League.
He broke the Bundesliga record for assists in a season with 21 and scored 14 goals as Bayern won a second treble in 2019-20.
Müller was named the fifth-best footballer in the world by The Guardian in 2014. With 32 trophies, Müller is the most decorated German footballer in history.
