Actor Kelsey Grammer was awarded a scholarship to study drama at the Juilliard School, however, he was expelled because he could not attend classes. This was largely due to a series of tragedies he faced while growing up. He was part of a group of people who were admitted to the drama school from 1973 to 1975. In 1975, his sister was kidnapped, rapped, and murdered. This affected him emotionally, making him put a stop to many things at once. Before that, he lost his father who was shot and killed by a cab driver. In 1980, his two brothers also died in a scuba diving accident.
