Williams shared that, his parents had to walk several kilometers on the Sahara desert and were forced to cross the Mediterranean sea in order to get to Spain. During their journey, they were arrested and imprisoned as illegal migrants when they arrived in Spain. They were advised by an unknown lawyer to tell the authorities to lie about their country of origin, stating that they moved from Liberia, where there was an ongoing bloody war at that time to escape death.
They were sheltered by a Catholic priest Inaki, who helped them live very comfortable lives until settled on their own. They named Iñaki Williams after the priest due to how he helped them cement their grounds in Spain.
