Nancy Perez is Galician historian and the wife of Pablo Milanés Arias a Cuban singer and guitarist.

Since 2004, he lived in Vigo, Spain, with his wife and two sons. He received a kidney transplant in 2014, thanks to an organ donated by his wife.
Pablo Milanés artist rose to prominence as a member of the Nueva Trova movement, alongside fellow Cuban musicians Silvio Rodrguez and Noel Nicola.
His compositions range from starkly political anthems to inspired love songs. He set to music the poems of Cuban writers such as José Mart and Nicolás Guillén.

Milanés received two Latin Grammy nominations in 2006: best singer-songwriter album for Como un Campo de Maz (Like a Cornfield) and best traditional tropical album for AM/PM, Lneas Paralelas (AM/PM, Parallel Lines), a collaboration with Puerto Rican salsa singer Andy Montaez.
In addition, he received numerous Cuban honors, including the Alejo Carpentier medal in 1982 and the national music prize in 2005.
Pablo Milanés died on November 22 2022, from cancer at the age of 79. At his family’s request, a wake will be held at the Casa de América cultural centre in Madrid on Wednesday, November 23 2022.
