Vincent began his career with Anderlect when he was 17 years old. During his time with the club, he was awarded the Belgian Golden Shoe and the Belgian Ebony Shoe.

Hamburger SV purchased Kompany for $10 million in 2006. He injured his achilles during the season and missed the majority of it. Kompany was transferred to Premier League club Manchester City in 2008.

He agreed to a four-year contract worth an undisclosed sum, but believed to be close to $6 million. During the 2011-12 season, he was named Manchester City captain.

He also led the team to a Premier League championship in the same season, ending a 44-year drought.

Kompany was named Premier League Player of the Season in 2012, and The Guardian ranked him as the world’s 23rd best footballer.

Kompany opened two new Good Kompany sports bars in Belgium in April 2014, one at the Grand Place in Brussels and the other at the Groenplaats in Antwerp. Kompany, on the other hand, closed both bars within a year of their opening.
