He began his professional career with Ajax, where he won four trophies and received the Johan Cruyff Trophy in 2004. He was sold to Real Madrid for in 2007, where he won La Liga in his first season before being sold to Inter Milan in 2009.
He won Serie A, the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, and two Coppa Italias with Inter. Sneijder was named UEFA midfielder of the season in 2010 and FIFA’s third best midfielder in the world.

He was a regular for the Dutch national team, making his debut at the age of 18 in April 2003 and representing his country at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups, as well as the 2004, 2008, and 2012 UEFA European Football Championships.
