While on vacation with friends in San José del Cabo on October 29, 2022, Shanquella Robinson, who had a well-known hair braiding business and an online boutique, was discovered dead in her hotel room.

According to WBTV, Shanquella Robinson travelled on October 28 with six pals Khalil Cooke, Malik Dyer, Wenter Donovan, Alysse Hyatt, Daejhanae Jackson, and Nazeer Wiggins to the resort town of San José del Cabo, where they lodged at the opulent Fundadores Beach Club.
According to a corporate spokeswoman who talked with WJZY, the group had asked for assistance and the concierge had sent for a doctor to perform CPR on Robinson.

At 3 p.m. on that day, she was declared dead. The rest of the group returned from the trip without Robinson.
“They said she wasn’t feeling well. She had alcohol poisoning,” her mother told WJZY. “They couldn’t get a pulse. Each one of the people that were there with her was telling different stories.”
In recent days, a video surfaced that appeared to show Robinson being beaten in a hotel room. Robinson is knocked to the ground as another person repeatedly hits her in the head. The person filming the video can be heard saying, “Can you at least fight back?”
