Big Sean, is an American rapper. Big Sean first met Kanye West in 2005, during a radio interview on 102.7 FM. Sean went to the station to meet West and do some freestyle.

Kanye West was initially hesitant to hear him, but he gave Sean 16 bars to rap for him. West, according to Big Sean, enjoyed his freestyle: “As we approached the radio station’s entrance… we came to a halt in the middle of the doorway.
He begins to look at me and bobble his head.” Sean gave West his demo tape after the freestyle. West signed Big Sean to GOOD Music two years later.
Big Sean has cited West, Eminem, The Notorious B.I.G., and J Dilla as his influences.

In 2011, Big Sean released his debut studio album, Finally Famous, which featured the US top 10 single “Dance (Ass)” (featuring Nicki Minaj).
Big Sean’s second album, Hall of Fame (2013), followed it, and his third album, Dark Sky Paradise (2015), debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200.
His fourth album, I Decided (2017), featured his highest-charting US single, “Bounce Back,” and his fifth album, Detroit 2 (2020), was his third consecutive platinum album.
