Is Tony Gonzalez in the Hall Of Fame?

Tony Gonzalez is a former American football tight end who spent 17 seasons in the National Football League (NFL).

Tony Gonzalez was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019, his first year of eligibility. He is the first tight end to be inducted on the first ballot.

Tony Gonzalez is also in the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame.  The Chiefs announced Gonzalez’s induction into the Chiefs Hall of Fame on January 26, 2018.

During the 2018 season, he was inducted during halftime of a game. He was named to both the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team and the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

Tony Gonzalez is widely regarded as the greatest tight end of all time. Throughout his career, he set numerous NFL tight end records.

Only two of his major records, the most career touchdowns and the most 1,000-yard seasons by a tight end, have been broken.

He also holds several Chiefs team records, and when he retired, he was ranked in the top ten in many receiving categories for any position.

Tony Gonzalez finished his career with a 265-game reception streak that spanned from a game played on November 26, 2000, to his final game on December 29, 2013.
