Rep. John Palasik was a Milton native who had served in the Vermont House since 2019. John was married. However, the name and details of his wife are unknown.

John Palasik passed away on November 15, 2022, after several months of illness. He was 68.
In a statement issued Tuesday afternoon, Gov. Phil Scott announced Palasik’s death, saying the Republican representative “brought his experience and valued perspective to Montpelier, where he always advocated for his community.”
Funeral services are set for Saturday, November 19 2022. Gov. Phil Scott has ordered state flags lowered to half-staff in Palasik’s honour.

Palasik did not run for reelection this fall, citing a desire to spend more time with his family, particularly his young grandson, earlier this year.
John Palasik served on Milton Rescue for 16 years and was a police officer for 37 years, including three decades with the Milton Police Department. He was most recently on the Milton Selectboard.
