Sue Baker, one of the original presenters of BBC’s Top Gear, a former monitoring editor of The Observer and a journalist had an estimated net worth of $2 million at time of death. Baker sadly passed away on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 following a long battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). She was 67 years.

Baker, who joined the original format of the TV series in 1980 appeared in over a hundred episodes of the car programme until 1991 when she left.
Following her departure, she continued to work as a motoring journalist.

Baker was influential in setting up and running the Motor Racing News Service and also served as the Observer’s motoring editor for 13 years, departing in 1995.
She also worked for Saga Magazine and as a freelance writer.
The Guild of Motoring Writers, of which Baker was the vice-president and a former chair, said on Twitter: “Sue was a pioneer for women in automotive journalism.”
Baker is survived by her family, which includes her two children, Hannah and Ian, two grandsons, George and Tom, and a daughter-in-law Lucy.
